No. Discipline should be what it used to be so kids don't sell drugs. School needs to be a priority for kids though. If the legal system were more strict then we wouldn't have to worry about the same person twice. They would still be locked up as an example of why their friends shouldn't.
No... at 14 kids should be concentrating on school. School IS their job and they need to do that at the best of their ability. If a 14 yo is into selling drugs.. he isnt going to be interested in school either.... and has basically chosen a life of failure.
No, don't lower the legal age. However, at the same time, kids shouldn't be molly-coddled, either. At 14, when I wanted one of these "new" 10-speed bikes that were just coming out (1975)- I had to go out and pick fruit, that summer, to earn my own money. That's the kind of working kids of 14 and 15 should be doing, but none of this crap about 14 being the legal age to join the work-force.
