Today I ate 860 calories. My calorie goal each day is 1200. However, I just can't eat anything else right now. Should I "force" myself?

In my research I keep reading that 1200 calories is the lowest daily calorie intake a person should have. If a person does not eat at least 1200 calories, the person's system goes into fat storing mode.

Losing weight is different for each person. 1200 calories may be fine for one but not another depending on metabolism, age, body size, day's activities and more. Small meals during the day are fine. Drink water. What your food contains has to be good for you such as fruits and veggies or other foods giving you protein. Don't force yourself to eat but taking baby steps will keep your weight off rather than damaging it. You can speak with your doctor for suggestions or visit a nutritionist. Best of luck. -;

Eat if you are hungry. Best not to force it. You never know. You may want a midnight snack.

Eat high caloric foods. That way, you don't eat as much food, but still get all if the calories you need.

No you should not force yourself but, and don't take my word on this, compensate tomorrow basically eat a higher calorie meal. 860 today 1540 tomorrow. and just saying that's a really low calorie diet.

i know but average is what 3400 calories but i wont criticize your choices
