How can I stop my little chihuahua from pooping periodically in my house?

She is good most of the time but sometimes I wake up to her little gift.

Keep her on feeding schedule, and take her out on schedule too.

There is no question she already 'knows' what she is supposed to do .. and WHERE she is supposed to go .. My guess is she already knows this is a bad bad thing. THIS is not a 'training' problem as much as a "I can't wait problem".

Take her for a short walk before going to bed.

I let her out back to do her thing before bed after dinner, since she eats her dinner when I eat mine. I can't walk her, I wish I could.

what we did is put a little bell at the door (we have a chihuahua 2) and showed her to play with it but every time it rings you take them outside and say "outside" or "bathroom" and don't come back in until she/he pee's/poops it might take a little while but just remember that every time that bell rings to take it out and soon she will know "every time I ring his bell I have to

Thank you, Sounds like a smart idea to me (bell). I free feed her, take her out consistently for the most part unless I happenen to be gone which is only for a short time if I can't take her with me. I pick her food up after 8pm every night so she won't eat during the night. She is very smart and I know she Knows what she is suppose to do and for the most part she does the right thing. It's just now and than instead of her letting me know she has to go she just makes her mark and than gets this real guilty look on her face knowing she is a bad, bad girl. I'm going to try the bell, it makes sence to me.

Take her out regularly after her meals and every hour or so until she gets the idea of how it works:). Praise and reward her when she waits till outside to do her business.
