My Galaxy S3 isnt taking a charge, like at all. what should i do?

I have the Galaxy S3. It was fine yesterday afternoon and it was charging and everything but when i went to charge my phone around 10 it wouldnt charge. it didnt even show it was hooked up or plugged in. and it wont hook up to my usb on my labtop either! I dont want to tell my parents because they will ground me and most likely make me pay for the repair if needed. but i need to get this fixed. the cord wasnt ripped out and it was laying on my bed all day untill i needed to charge my phone again. if anybody has any advice i would appreciate it. Thankyou.

Lol your parents are pretty hard on you. I recommend you try a friends charger to see if its your chargers fault or your own phone. actually why dont you let your phone die? it could be glitch, it happened to me before. Good luck by the way =P

If it has been less than a year since you bought it you can use your manufacturer warranty and get a replacement for free.

That's if the phone's charging port is bad.

if the cable is loose when you plug it into the phone it may have chipped around the charging port. otherwise you can check to see if it is under warranty and get it fixed
