Well, I think finding out why you hate yourself would be a good start, then you can change the things you hate. We all have the power to be happy in our lives, we just have to learn to accept ourselves for who we are or take responsibility for the things we don't like about ourselves and change it.
I also believe that first one should find the reason why that happens, and all of us, consciously, subliminally, or unconsciously, are aware of that why. Then one should set for finding a solution. One thing I've come to learn, is that we get tired of trying so much, because the upshot is always failure, but also because we are going the ways that we know, not all those that really exist. For finding them, we may read, consult, etc., depending on the situation, and only afterwards, we realize how little we knew. Still, I'm prone to get stranded in such situations, but I should never lose hope. I really like this: If there is no solution, then there is no problem. think about the good things in life and think about your friends and their feelings about you... ask yourself " if they don't hate me and are willing to be my friends... then why do i hate myself?" trust me I've been there before... and i hate it.. don't let anything get you down and don't think about the past or the future.. just focus on the present... i don't think someone should hate themselves no matter what happens... there has to be good somewhere in your life.. i loath the word hate because my friend died of hate.. she killed herself because she hated herself... i don't like when people hate themselves... so.. think of something to make you smile... something happy and cheerful...( unless you're one of those people that only dark things make them happy.. ) and when i say you i mean in general :) i really hope this helps! :D
