Please read on

I used to date a boy, but our relationship didn't work out well. now my friend is dating him. I have been ASKING her if she wants advice or tips, so her relationship would go better then mine did and she kept saying yes. but am I wrong? should I try to help her or not?

In my opinion, you should not lend her advise her on dating tips for your ex. General talk with friends about dating is advised but you advising her about your ex will look like you are intruding and she might think you have an ulterior motive. Let their relationship grow without any outside help so that they can have no one to blame but themselves if things go wrong or if they go well, they will appreciate your maturity and support.

She needs to get to know him on her own. Only thing you should let her know is if he was abusive or cheated. But if he's a nice guy she'll learn on her own.

I wouldn't. Don't get involve in other peoples relationships. It's between him and her. It will only cause you problems if you "help."
