I have several friends that suffer from migraines. They say that laying down for a while with a cold rag on your forehead and another on the back of your neck helps. I wouldn't take any more medication until what you have has worn off. If you continually get migraines you may want to see a doctor to see if there is a prescription medication that would work better for you.
My gf gets migraines. The doctor told her she has complex migraines and gave her a prescription drug for them and it has helped. Might want to go to the doctor and see what kind of migraine you have (I think their are 3 different kinds of migraines). Their is no actual cure for migraines as of this point, but I know that complex migraines can lead to strokes if they aren't taken care of.
Yes, you should probably go see a doctor, to get the right medication. It could be the migraine is being caused by other factors, which means you need to have tests done and get a full diagnosis. In this instance, I would advice you to go see a doctor as soon as possible, to get medication that will work.
Along with seeing a doctor and getting medication, there are certain things you should try zapping out of your diet that could be triggering your migraines. Things like alcohol, caffiene, chocolate, and certain dairy products are big time trigger foods. Hormones are another major factor, but there's nothing you can do about that except take medication. No doubt about it, they stink! Good luck!
For immediate help, you can try the dark room. Put a towel or wash cloth over your eyes. No TV. No computer. No visual stimulation. When you can see the physician. There are different treatments that May help you. Best wishes.
