What is a best kind of dog?

I'm looking for one thats strong, full of energy, and above all loyal.

At pit bull is a good one. People say that they are terrible dogs, but they aren't. It is just in how they are raised. They like to play with balls and frisbees. They like taking walks, and playing with other dogs. As they get older, the better their teeth will be, so you might have to get new balls and frisbees often. Also, German Shepard's are AMAZING pets! They love to run and jump and play! They are good sleepers too! I hope you find the right pet!!!

Strong and full of energy, you can look at working breeds. Burmese Mountain Dog, Rottweiler, Boxer, Mastiff, or Newfoundland. But your real focus should be what type of dog you have time for, and whether you have a large enough property to accommodate a large, fast, or inquisitive breed. For example, unless you give a Border Collie plenty of mental stimulation with daily mental exercises, it is likely to become bored and very destructive.

How much time do you have to exercise one? Boxers are great dogs, but they need 1-2 hours of exercise a day.

a pit bull as FlamePrincessCN said they are not horrible misbehaved dogs. You have to train them right if you want them to be your perfect dog. I have a pit bull and she only attacks if I tell her to or if she knows that something is out of the ordinary then she will find that one thing and lead us to it but if its a person that's out of the ordinary she helps A LOT more (if you know what I mean). so pit bulls are TERIFFIC pets to have if you train them right.

Mountain curs! I'm from Mississippi and here they are kind of like our "utility" dog. Thy train easily, are loyal, smart, and good hunters. They are very strong considering they were bred to hint bears and hogs. And they really aren't a large dog so it could come inside if you wanted. they are bundles of energy. ours can run a deer all day long without taking a break

you should do some research about different breeds.find out grooming needs, temperaments, etc and find which best matches your family and lifestyle.also i highly recommend adopting at your local rescue shelter.not only will it feel great knowing you saved a life but also the love and appreciation you'll receive from your new addition will be forever priceless!
