Whenever my cat wants attention, he comes up to me, then head butts me in the face. What does this mean?
Cats have sent glands on there face-He/she is marking you as his/hersAnd it's a sign of effection.
Cats sometimes rub there faces on humans to show affection. He could just be doing it alittle harder than normal.Idk.........
You just said why in your question, although he may just enjoy "punching" you also. Boys...
He's nuzzling you. Lions and other big cats do this too.
all cats do this to each other. she's greeting you. if you put your head down to her/him will "headbut you".its how my cat greets me when I come home.
That is a greeting .. that's how animals show affection.
Animal react differently, so there may be no clear explanation. Just go along with it I guess.
Greeting, affection, just his way.
There are scent glands on a cats face that humans can't smell, but they can. Head butting you is a way of your cat claiming you as his/her own. And everytime they smell it, it comforts them. Kinda cute :)
He's saying "Hi! What's up! Would like the honor of stroking me?"
You said it in your question. He wants attention.
The cat is nuzzling you, it likes you
Cats have glandes on there cheeks. She's marking her territory. My cat does the same thing. :D
