I know I am Bisexual, but I don't know how to confront my mother.

I have recently come to the realization that I am interested in both sexes, like how I think some girls are particularly pretty and I wouldn't mind dating. I tried to hint this to my mother, but since I always dated males she chooses to stay ignorant of the matter. Even more upsetting is the fact part of her job is to support gay marriage. I asked her what she thought if I were bisexual, and she kept talking about how I was "meant for guys only, so that's a silly question." Thanks a million, mom.

There is no easy way to tell your mom that you are bisexual so if you are really intent on telling her just say it but try and get her on a day when she is in a good mood. She may need some time to adjust so just give her her space and she will adjust to the idea in time. Try not to judge her too harshly for her initial reaction.

She may explode when you tell her, but in time she will come around. You don't need to worry about this. Just tell her.

I suggest you test yourself kiss a girl or try dating a girl and if you don't like it that just means you are just admiring girls looks . There's a difference between looking and touching . However if you do like girls tell your mom . She's your mom she will love you no matter what .

The sooner you tell her, the better.

She's your mom, and even if she can't understand your choice, she'll still love you. You've won half the battle before you've started, though. If her job requires her to support gay marriage, she's can't be totally resistant to the ideas. I'd think she'd have found another job.

In my opinion, it doesn't have to be presented in a big confrontational scene. If you find a way to casually slip it in, it could be pretty easy on you. Pretend like everyone already knows about it and that person is behind in the news. example:

family member: "So, do you have an eye on anyone special?"
you: "Well, there's this one really cute girl, but this one guy is so hot!"
family: "Wait what? Did you say girl? Are you lesbian?"
you: "No, I'm bisexual. Anyways, the girl is really smart and has really good grades and..."

I gotta know what job she has that requires her to support gay marriage. As for your question, I don't think you need to "confront" her. Give it time, this is a new/recent revelation you've had. She probably thinks its "just a phase". Maybe it is, maybe not. But don't get upset that she didn't jump right on board the first time you brought it up. If its what you want, hopefully in time she'll come to understand.
