My girls, off of animal collectives album merriweather post pavilion. Great song, but you realy should listen to the whole album. If you are going for a realy great pop song listen to the past is a grotesque animal by of montreal. Also a more folk rock sort of thing, there is the rather big hit, aero plane over the sea and a different bands song I want the wind to blow, the second of which is by the microphones off their the glow part 2 album, another great one.
Depends on the form. The term "indie rock" is pretty vague. It can stretch from the soulful art rock of Florence + the Machine, Lana Del Rey and Coldplay, to more folk-style works from Grizzly Bear, Broken Social Scene, and Beach House, to the more traditional "rock" sounding works, such as those by the Black Keys, Metric, and Passion Pit. Here are some of my favorites: Breath of Life- Florence + the Machine Breathing Underwater- Metric Constant Conversations- Passion Pit Friend- Grizzly Bear Myth- Beach House Eet- Regina Spektor Propellor Seeds- Imogen Heap Walking With A Ghost- Tegan and Sara Hopefully this helps!
