When writing a story and reaching a scene that is critical to the story itself, how do you find the best way to write it?
I'm working on a key point in the story which is supposed to portray a few key things to the story but I don't know how to fit them into the scene itself. The character learns, not knowingly but will realize late in the story, something important in a conversation with another person. She brings out an important item that I want the other to in someway reveal something about her knowledge of it... but not... Are there ways that anyone else knows to fit things like that in? I have a general idea of it, but no idea how to wrap the scene itself around it.
