If you're trying to lose weight do you drink a protein shake after a work out or before?
after.. you are supposed to eat and drink something with in 30 min of workout.. some people just drink the protein shake
Before so you might burn off some of those calories during the workout. However, do it at least an hour or half hour before so you don't feel nauseous during your workout. Some people get that feeling if they eat just before.
Within 30 minutes of working out you should have some protein.
Studies show that you lose more weight if you consume protein within 30 minutes AFTER working out.
