Probably my mom - who died at 38 from breast cancer, but instilled in me the importance of education, ethics, morality, and empathy to other humans - pretty impressive for a woman in horrid pain after a double mastectomy.
I would like to thank my best guy friend that I think is now my bf . He is so sweet and cute . He also tells me I'm beautiful and even sticks up for me even when my friends are only teasing me . an he will probably kiss me within the next few weeks.

My parents. My dad taught me the importance of following truth where ever it takes me. He had strong opinions about religion and politics, but respected the views of others provided they could articulate a defense for those views. My mom, who will be 99 in a few days, taught me to think outside the box; to question conventional wisdom. While both were products of their regressive Texas backgrounds, they seemed to have somehow have avoided some of the worst aspects of that culture.
