Go to your Dr. And get a complete physical. There are numerous disorders that can cause high blood pressure, for example kidney disease, several heart conditions, stress, being overweight and heredity. As mentioned by others there are some things you can do that can help which is to walk if you are fit enough, cut down on salt, eat healthier learn and use relaxation techniques. Your Dr. Can also give you a referral to see a nutritionist or dietician who can help you set up a healthier eating lifestyle. Most insurances and Medicare pay for these services if your Dr. Prescribes them. Good luck and I hope I was able to help.
You will do yourself a great service if you eat oatmeal for breakfast every day, particularly if you use regular oatmeal and add your own goodies, like walnuts, almonds, raisins, cinnamon, wheat germ, and fresh fruit. I use a little honey or agave nectar to sweeten (just a smidge) and mix in fat free milk to get the consistency right. Delicious and sooooo good for you!
