What's the difference between a chorus and a choir ?

a chorus is the main part in a song that comes up again and again. A Choir is a group of people that sing together. Not much in common..

You folks'll have to check your dictionaries: a chorus (ie, MN Gay Men's Chorus) can indeed be a group of people who sing. I generally think of a choir (and I'm in one by the way) as an organized group of folks who sing in church or other religious settings. A chorus (and by extension chorale, glee club, etc.) generally do not.
