When I was 10, I LOVED Warriors. It's a book about regular cats, but they're "civilized" in a sense that they live and work with their clans, have knowledge about natural remedies (plants), and believe in an afterlife.

The Clique series is good. The Clique has about 2 curse words in it but other than that, it's great. I have the books and the movie.

Go to a library and see what options they have ! There are millions of age appropriate books for ten year old girls ! I always used to read the Candy Apple series of books, for example Drama Queen, Totally Crushed, The Boy Next Door, The Accidental Cheerleader. They are all cute and totally appropriate.

Depends on what she likes. When I was a kid, Island of the Blue Dolphins was very popular with girls. Another great book was Charlotte's Web.

When I was that age I read all the Beverly Cleary books. They're really part of my childhood! She has the Ramona series, Henry Huggins, etc. SO good! I'd definitely recommend those.

I would suggest "The Last Apprentice" series. There are 13 books and they are each amazing and different. These I would categorize as spooky like goosebumps, but not so scary that you will have nightmares. Hope this helps. :)

Dork Diaries. It's really great if she's a girly girl. They're is a whole series to read. She'll love it! Cause I'm 10 and I've had a lot of experience with books. Also Diary of a Wimpy Kid (series) Harry Potter (series).

the Warriors series by Erin Hunter is all kinds of fun! if she is a good reader, she will enjoy it. I know I did. If she's not such a good reader, she might want to wait a year or two because the writing style is a little complicated. the plot is a little hard to follow, but that just makes it more fun to read, in my opinion.
