Find your passion. Move away on your own. Change your life, if but for a brief bit, and only for the positive. I moved away when I was 18, found my passion in the mountains. My daughters both moved away when they were 19 and 20 and found their passion - one's a flight attendant now at 24 having the adventure of a lifetime, the other is 21, joined the Army, met some fantastic friends from all over the world in Afghanistan and experienced life like she never thought possible. And now, knows there's nothing she can't accomplish for herself! But, you have to take the initiative and DO! One thing my mother taught me early on is that only one person in this world can make one happy - and that's themselves. But, you're not going to find happiness waiting on it!

I think that there is an underlying reason that you may not know about. I would recommend that you see a doctor so that s/he can examine you so as to get the cause for your sadness.

To be truly happy, you need to be happy within yourself.

Depression can often occure for no real reason. Chemicals in your brain get out of whack and BAM! yours depressed. It happens. I look at mild depression as having a long term flu. Unpleasant and annoying but it does eventually pass. Its deeper depression that can get really bad. If your depression lasts too long or gets worse talk to your doctor.
