You should never go to a movie on a first date. The most important thing about a first date is conversation and getting to know the other person, this cannot be done during a movie. Also if the movie is bad, boring, gross, etc. that can be the impression the person will be left with after the date has ended.

Addy is correct, save the movie for the 2nd date. The first date should be a quiet restaurant so that you can talk to her. Also watch how she treats the waitress, very important, if she treats the waitress like crapola, or if she orders the most expensive item on the menu, then don't take her out for a 2nd date. Think of the 1st date as a job interview to see if she's gonna get a call back for a 2nd interview.
As far as what is in theatres now, I have no idea. (Much ado about Nothing?) If you have managed to convince a date to your place to watch a flick, I highly recommend staying away from I Spit On Your Grave.
No movie . Take her to a nice restaurant or something fun where you guys will interact maybe rock climbing or hiking . It really just depends on the girl . Know what she likes before you take her on a date it will show that you were listening . Or you could take her to do something she doesn't like to do . This could be a learning experience .
People o people take her to the movies take her to the cheap movies the dollar ones first then try to arrive there when the movie is barely starting that way you don't need to waste that much money in popcorn or sodas to expensive at the movies after that take her to a cheap comedy club tickets are not expensive 5 bucks each after that then you can take her to a bar if possible try taking in a small bottle of alcohol inside the bar you have to do your homework take her to a place not that crowded where you can talk alone with her buy that time she will have more confidence on you if buy any chance things didn't work out at least you haven't spend thousands of dollars on this date believe me that's when it really hurts going out and spending all that money for nothing women come and go money doesn't sow be smart with your money that's my advice your friend.
