I don't know how to word this question so read below please ?

so my dad totally freaked me out yesterday and acted as thoe he had lost my iPod. I basically live on my iPod so I literally almost had a heart attack. It got me wondering, if my dad did lose my iPod, could someone do something to open it, without knowing the password/pin? like if its hacked. I know someone could do that. but if they do, can they still see my pictures, notes, etc. even if it had been hacked? will it reset? this is what worries me most about losing my iPod. I have over 2,000 pics, more than 100 notes, tons of songs and albums... help!

If you basically live on your iPod, then maybe you SHOULD lose it...

No i think they will have to plug it in to their itunes and the only way to get in would be to restore it to factory setting . so your good.

Back up your data and if it's stolen use "Findmyipod"

In the settings on your iPod you can set it so everything will reset if the pass code is typed in wrong too many times.

Don't let your dad use it... lol.... I live on my iPod 5th. gen and My iPhone 4s... I'll tell you what.. I hardly ever let my boy-friend use it.. If He does ??... I'll dial the number and I don't lose sight of him. As for the iPod ??.. he isn't into my kind of music thank god.... You can always set it up where.. if you did lose it.. just log onto your computer and '' disable '' it.. It will render it useless.

If someone stole it, they would have to plug it into their computer and sync it with iTunes on their computer in order to have access to an iPod with a password. This would wipe out all of your apps, music, photos, etc. and it would basically be a new iPod. They would not be able to see your photos or notes or anything. Your information is safe.
