My computer will only connect to https websites. Whenever I do a problem scan it says nothing's wrong. I've tried many things, none work.

I'm on a Windows laptop. it also appears i have no DNS. Things I've tried: restarting computer, turning off firewall, ipconfig refresh DNS or whatever. also, I can successfully ping to any website and get a response.

This could be a Trojan that has interfered with HTTP traffic on your computer. Look for a 'wdmaud.sys' in the C:\Windows\system32 directory and delete it as it's a bogus file. This is a different file from the one in the C:\Windows\system32\drivers directory.

I found a file by the same name, but it was a .drv or something along those lines. There was not a file of that name in the folder though.
