Why do people want to try and make you jealous?

in my opinion its because you are better than them or above them and their just trying to bring you down, when someone tries to make me jealous its just like they are trying to lower you, wen they do that its basicaly showing that you are more superior, they are jealous of you.when theymake you jealous you feel angry so in short when they make you feel angry it makes them happy making you incharge of their emotions. so if you act like your not pissed then in return they will be pissed,

because they want that we should also jealous by seeing their things and we should always angry so no one will come to make a friendship with us

They are insecure about something in their own life so they cover it up. They try to make people jealous because they are jealous. Some people can be nasty. I say kill em with kindness. Show them you're happy and doing fine even if you're not truely feeling that way. Have u ever experienced when ur mad and someone else is happy and u just get madder or feel upset and left out? That's what they'll feel and hopefully leave u alone. It's worked for me.

Because they are jealous of you. Try not to let them know it bothers you
It's not easy. Don't get them the satisfaction of showing them they are getting to you. Ignore them if possible.

Because they have a mean spirit, they feel inferior, and they enjoy hurting others by trying to rub in the good things happening in their life, esp if you are have difficulties in your own life...all in all, i also think it means they are immature and have an emptiness inside

there is two reason one they might want every eye on them not on you they act better they take the things you have. two if it is a boy he might like you try not get jealousy instead of geting ignore them they are not worth waste=ing time
