Will the pain in the arse Itunes erase every paid app I have if I synced it on a different library that what I used to activate it?

It's basically telling me it's going to erase what apps I have on my iphone and replace with it has (nothing). Will this happen? I really want to update the software w/o losing everything. The comp I used originally is in another state.
