There is no sound coming out of the speaker in my iPod. What should I do?

I can listen to the songs through headphone but not through speaker.

The problem most likely is due to the speakers being blown. The only way to fix this would be to replace them if possible, I don't believe that there's an option to disable the speakers on your iPod without disabling your headphones, although if there is an option to do this I would check to see if it is activated. Go ahead and look through all of your settings to make sure there isn't any setting that's on the would effect this, by this I mean carefully read EVERY option in your settings and making sure they aren't effecting the sound. If this isn't the problem then it most likely is either a problem with the speakers having become nonfunctional due to a connection problem or simply being blown out. With this I suggest taking it to someone that is extremely good with taking apart iPods and being able to put them together for not too much. Or send it to the Apple store, if you do send it to the Apple store I suggest only doing so if you absolutely need your speakers , or if your iPod is still under warranty.

Although, an alternative to getting your iPod speakers replaced, is to get a pocket speaker, they tend to be more mobile and are louder with better quality. Depending on the Pocket Speaker you get, it could be cheaper than sending the iPod off to the Apple Store while also giving you louder and better sound quality.
