Do I have to add my son to car insurance when he gets a drivers permit?
Yes, if he resides in your residence and is a license driver he will be added to your policy. it doesnt even matter if going to drive or not as long as he has an active license the company feels like he's going to drive.
yes you do if he's going to be driving your car
Anyone who is driving your car needs to be insured.
if he is going to own a car and drive it at relevant age he should have an insurance in his name insurance policies at least in my country cannot be jointly and severally
Yes, if you are going to allow him to drive your car, he will need to be added to your policy as an occasional driver...otherwise, he will not be covered at all.
Yes, it shouldn't raise insurance to have him added until he gets his license.
I don't think that at the level of a permit it's manditory:unless you plan on the minor with a permit to practice with your car and another adult. that may change when it comes to having a license.
