Mine are coming in and I like really nervous and Ive had braces for 1 year and my mom wants me to get the wisdom teeth out before I get my braces off. I'm really scared!!

They will put you under anesthesia and it will over before you know it. You will wake up and your mouth will be packed with gauze. They will give you pain medication and in a few days the swelling will be down and you will feel better. The will also have you rinse your mouth a number of times a day. That was my experience. Was not too bad.

Yes, it's a tooth extraction. 3-5 days after you'll be fine

It's not bad, they put you to sleep and before you know it, the operation is done.

Your going to be fine. Your either going to be asleep the whole time or given so much gas that you won't even know what's happening. The worst part of the whole thing is that it's hurts to eat for a few days after

Not at all because you are put under. All 4 of mine were impacted and I had no problems with pain after either. You might experience slight bruising on your face after. Swelling is also common after. I had problems closing my mouth for a couple of days, yet my sister had trouble opening her mouth. Get ready to eat soup, mashed potatoes, smoothies, oatmeal, ice cream, polenta... any soft foods. The pain is very minor.

I think it depends upon the person i just got my wisdom tooth extracted but i did not feel any pain. Then the day after tomorrow I'm already fine. Did not even take high medication. I guess I'm lucky.

You must have been treated by one of those "almost a doctor" outfits because everyone I've ever known that spoke of having their's removed indicated their experience was painless. They also indicated that they had heard it would hurt badly and were quite surprised when it didn't.

It did when I had mine out...but that was 50 years ago! Even without my wisdom teeth, I'm a lot smarter! He-he-he!

With modern medicine you won't feel a thing and there is no pain afterwards due to pain medication while your gums heal. There is nothing to fear.
