How much power is dissipated by a 2.4 k resistor in series with a 12V power supply?

Report as

Power in currents is equals to voltage divided by resistance. In this case therefore Current (I) = Voltage (V)/Resistance (R), 12V/2.4R which is equal to 5 ohms.
