we found a baby box turtle 2 yrs ago. we have kept him in a tank & just been feeding him worms. will he be OK if we let him go in the wild?

we found him in our yard and my boys wanted to keep him. I'm ready to get rid of it. I just worry about him being in the wild by his self since he hasn't has any outside freedom or get his own food in a really long time. Also, if its safe to let him go, what type of environment or place would be best to take him?

I would take him to a pet store instead. If he hasn't been getting his own food in awhile, he might starve.

Yes the turtle should be fine if you put him in a good habitat.

I would think no, he/she has been fed for two years.

Take it to a pet store, the turtle has probably forgotten how to take care of itself by now
