I would say NO. Salicylic acid, aka Aspirin, is a blood anti-coagulator. It will keep you from clotting and the would will keep bleeding.

I promise you it IS. Aspirin is the most common brand name for salicylic acid which is taken in natural form from the bark of willow trees. Its earliest uses were as pain relievers. I KNOW this sweety.

From a DICTIONARY:
salicylic acid - white, crystalline, very slightly water-soluble powder, C 7 H 6 O 3 , prepared from salicin or phenol: used as a food preservative, in the manufacture of ASPIRIN, and in medicine chiefly in the form of a salicylate as a remedy for rheumatic and gouty conditions.

Aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid...

* http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a682878.html#other-name

* http://www.thefreedictionary.com/aspirin

It's derived from salicylic acid and other compounds, but in and of itself is NOT salicylic acid. That is something else, as I noted in my original comment.

I'm not a doctor, but I'd say no. I'd suggest putting on an antibiotic cream, like Neosporin, and a bandage. Hope this helps!

No. You NEVER put acid on an open wound.

Go get that froze off. I had one on my finger and they froze it and put a band aid on it. The next day it was gone
