What are the 10 commandments of Atheism? How do they decide right from wrong or good from evil?

Just curious. I don't want to study the subject but was approached by an Atheist the other day & asked them that question. They had no answer but just made up an excuse to leave. The reason I'm asking on this site is because I know there are Atheists & Christians here. No arguments please. I just want comments from "Real People". Ok, I'm not naive so sarcasm is to be expected.

Atheists have to generate their own creed, as they reject those imposed by other people Most other people have religious teaching to moderate their behavior, although its not always obvious.
My own personal philosophy involves respecting others (unless they hold poorly thought-out ideas) and myself, taking care of the women in my life (otherwise life ain't worth living), giving people space, and hoping to be remembered fondly when the great bucket in the sky is duly kicked..
It's a HEAVY responsibility, being an atheist, I can tell you!

Understand it's the same as being a Christian - a HEAVY reponsibility.

You don't need a bible to know right from wrong. We have laws, morals, ethics, etc. just because a person is an atheist doesn't mean that person would not want to be a good person. If this is the only life there is, why make enemies. If this is all there is I want to help others enjoy this one time shot too.

I think Atheism just means they don't believe in a God. I know that's hard to believe, but they don't have a version of the "10 Commandments."

There are none. Atheists don't believe in anything whether or be good, evil, karma, god, devil... They wouldn't be true atheists if they believed in any commandments.

Agreed from all I've heard. I think their faith relies in science.

The point is, they have no faith at all - except in themselves..

That's right.

Hilariously, the Bible says the first Ten Commandments were broken, and there was a completely different set given. Kind of gives Mormonism some credibility. http://www.tinyurl.com/6vcwdx2/
