How to calculate the area and perimeter of buildings

Report as

The total area of the building should not be too hard to find since you only need the external measurements. Get the length of the building and multiply by the width and you have the area, if the building is rectangular in shape. As for the perimeter, you need to get the floor plan of one floor.

how many sides do the buildings have and how long are they? most have 4 so the perimeter is the sum of all for sides most 4 sided buildings are rectangular which is width x2 times length x2.
