Will I stop receiving my permanent disability, once I receive the settlement, from workman's comp?

Report as

Are you talking about your monthly check from where you were injured or a Social Security check?

When your case is settled, your monthly payments will stop from where you were injured. The settlement is paying you off.

Social Security allows you to earn a certain amount a year without loosing your disability payments. It will depend how big your check is. Call your Social Security office and ask them the question. They may be able to divide your settlement check by 12 and, if each amount isn't over the maximum you can earn per month, you'll be able to keep both.
