Does one have cancer and it NOT be detected in blood work?

Yes, it is possible to have cancer and it not get detected when you have blood work done. This is because the blood work that is needed to detect cancer is different from normal blood work. Check out http://www.livestrong.com/article/196618-blood-tests-that-show-cancer/ for more information.
