I downloaded a texture pack in minecraft and now it wont let me on minecraft anymore. What should I do?

I downloaded a new texture pack, and I went to log in and it just wont bring me to the main menu. It will only go to the mojang page and then the screen goes black. What should I do? Should I re-download Minecraft?

Delete the pack or if you don't know how/this dose not work, go to the launcher, click "options" and "force update" this will reset the data.

This is a problem caused by many things, but mostly from having two META-INF folders in you .jar file. Just find your way to minecraft.jar, delete any extra META-INF you see, and try again. It's also possible you messed up and downloaded to the wrong folder, or it's a troll texture pack that makes everything pitch-black.

isn't META-INF only for stopping mods? since, minecraft dose support texture packs.

I've know cases where the META-INF file finds a way.
