Mitakuye Oyasin is a Lakota prayer. This phrase translates to all my relatives or we are all related. The meaning however extends to mean that all plants, animals, mineral kingdoms and the forces of nature like wind and lightening are connected to each other and they each gets affected by the presence of the other.
