The Running Man by Stephen King. It's a little like an adult Hunger Games.

There is new novelette series called The East that I thought was thrilling. There are some mistakes in the book grammatically speaking but the plot outweighs it all. Also its free! When the promotion is over its only .99 cents. Id give it a try. I believe it is an ebook through amazon.
