In the US, the people do not have a right to be protected by the police. Neither do the police have a duty to protect an individual. If you disagree with their position, you can always file a complaint regarding the specific officer or dispatcher who told you not call them and that they are not coming out.
You have a RIGHT to protect and serve? Sounds like you got turned down for a job. That happens. Unless you've been discriminated for some reason, you're only choice is to go find another job at another station.
No, the person said at the end they said they were not coming to the persons house.. We have the same attitude here in my state. It goes all the way to the top. File a complaint with the U.S dept. of justice. Our tax dollars are paying their wages, so that is their job they have no right to tell you they're not coming to you so you can file a complaint. That is what judges and juries are for! Wonder if you live in Idaho? Man that just makes me so mad!! We had a drunk drive down our street on a four wheeler dam near ran over a little girl and this police officer said he wouldn't do anything, same one did that on two other separate occasions.
