Why do some people see humanity as it is something that is above nature ?

i don't know how to explain this properly but i will so about 8 hours ago i was going to my local town so that i could stop by a gas station and get gas for my car when i got out to fuel it i noticed two people one man and one woman whom looked like they where in there mid thirties and romantically involved with one another going about and another man came outta no where and bumped into the woman on accident he apologized to the woman and the woman said she was fine but the man with the woman looked kind of ticked off but they went on and then i finished fueling my car then left and on my way home i thought to my self if that man did that on purpose that man would have knocked him out cold which then made me realize humans are just as guilty on acting on impulses as many animals are and if that is so then do we think we are so high and mighty above nature i mean regardless of the fact of our intellect and technology why ?

Merely by you being able to even "ask" the question and animanls "don't" ask these questions. And, you wonder?

Because humans are arrogant, thats probably why you were filling your car with liquid explosive dinosaur instead of other gasses or electricity, its because humans are too arrogant as a whole to do things the harder way to help our fellow animals. We will always take the easiest and cheapest route to find answers even if it has a negative result on the world around us. Its something that needs to be fixed yet it never will be..

Well the though of humans being so superior is kind of different from person to person. Humans are just animals just like any other animals on this planet. We just have a higher intelligence. Some people just believe our resourcefulness means we're beyond nature. We are in certain ways. I mean we're the only animal that's actually made it out of the food chain. Think about other animals that have to go and kill each other to eat. We don't have to exert and energy to eat another animal. Though some people ignore all the characteristics that bind us to our primal existence.

So -
Not sure I understand your question
However-
Here's my answer-
Humans are 1 of 5 species of the great apes -
Being a man of science and evolution - humans all revert back to their animalistic instincts -
From time to time =
Fear = reaction
And in this case - lust = a bad judgment call , and lookin from a different point if view,
The man who was with the women
Should be proud that
His girl was hit on - and be secure enough to know , that she's with " me
Not the ignorant one-
Reason and and being rational
Is part of why we are human - not an ape-

It's because when God created everything he said it is good but when he made us he said it is very good. He created us in his own image and put us above all else. He wanted us to take care of this place but we proved we couldn't even take care of ourselves.

Why is god a man?
Report as
Because it was always documented as he, and he is called the Father by his son Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the only part that isn't 100% a guy just 90%... Does that help?

Got to see my comment. I've noticed lately that people respond quickly and don't think it through. I agree on the God part but have to respectfully disagree on the other part. If you band your man was walking and a guy knocked into on purpose would you not want your man to defend you? God gave us instincts. Mine as a man is to protect and as women I think you girls have the mother touch when it comes to your kids. I consider these good, not bad. Just a thought.

I'm sorry... I didn't quite follow all that... I think your comment was about how we fail to take care of ourselves. When I said that I was speaking of our lack of obedience to God and our inability to learn from our mistakes... Guys do have that and girls do have that some stronger then others but that doesn't mean we'll naturally follow through with what we were made for...

True. Only people who walk with Jesus live the life they was intended too. Even then we fall short. I just meant, that guy put it as a bad thing that the guy got protective. Seems like most feed into it. Calling us arrogant, and so forth. I looked at as, he got protective, realized it was accident, then showed self control. This particular example of human behavior was a good one, not bad. That's just what I see. Maybe I'm wrong. I believe my original thought was based on your last sentence. Although I agree for the most part, just not on this situation. Hoping I'm making sense.

That's a point I hadn't thought of... Sorry if this is off topic but, God kicked them out for afew reasons 1. Because they disobeyed. 2. Was because they ate the fruit. 3. Probably cause they hid/blamed eachother... And 4. The fruit made them "unlike" God, meaning the fruit of the spirit wasn't in their nature anymore so they weren't Loving like God or any of the others and sense only perfection could be close to God he sent them away yet still had the Patience and Self-control to deal with them.

Love is slow to anger. God loves us. He didn't want puppets, now we have choice. I'm having this conversation with this guy. The question is why do people still believe in religion. You should read, maybe weigh in. Maybe you can think of something I haven't.

Why do people still follow religion? Is the question.
Report as
Well the easy answer is cause they trust that its the truth. Other people will follow a crowd though. Also another good answer is that beginning is required for any existence except for something beyond normal rules.

Puppets no. But maybe like some sort of living marionette. Like Pinocchio. Almost a real boy. That's what I've seen it as.

Its in our nature to protect our woman and our children. Then on the other hand I've seen humans that do opposite and ignore these important beings. I'm glad that guy got defensive. Which would you rather have? If someone knocks down your wife are you not going to protect? Hmm.

You see the animal instinct led the man to look tickled once her woman was confronted improperly (consciously or accidentally). Had this man been only an animal he would have simply confronted the other and a mess was eminent.

But you see, the man, instead of acting on animal impulse, resisted himself and averted a mess - that, my friend, is humanity. And the ability to foresee the possible consequences is what makes humanity superior to the rest of the animal kingdom.

Humans ARE.above all other nature. God created man and placed him in dominion over all things on earth. All things were put in place for humans enjoyment and use. Nothing in nature was ever meant to be equal to let alone more important than humans. God made humanity superior to all other things and human life is sacrosanct, esp compared to lower order animals or plants.

We are simply an evolutionary divergence with a focus on 'adaption' rather than speed or strength. We are not so different, only that we are vastly more adaptive, so adaptive in fact, we monopolize the role of creature. This isn't to say that virus don't compete with us but considering the complexity of humans, for such a large organism, we are remarkable. To augment us with divine purpose though, there is nothing more egocentric and delusional- we are a clever ape after all, evolved for adaption. Its rather the pinnacle of evolutionary selection direction but to suppose this is a "final form" is utterly contradictory to evolution and furthermore human nature.
