Unlikely. Iran will remain a scapegoat for the West to demonize and rally the people against. As long as Russia and China refuse to back from supporting the nation, however, Iran will likely keep going. I'm not sure what CarKing is talking about; the USA has never gone to war against Iran. They did stage a coup back in the 1950s (which is why most Iranians hate the US) and install a dictator but Iran later got rid of him. And the USA did attempt to provide weapons to Iran and Iraq hoping they'd fight each other (which they did) but that ended in stalemate. We've never actually gone to war with Iran though.
No. Iran hasn't, and will not give reason for any other nation to go to war. Iran is actually a sane actor due to their religion (They sorta believe that Allah will ensure they win as long as they don't mess things up -- to put it in layman's terms), and because they aren't governed by religion as much as we like to make out.
Furthermore, they are actually a very powerful nation. Afghanistan would be a picnic compared to a war in Iran, so nobody is going to be in a hurry to go to war with them.
