If you have a crawl space under your house, you should have an exterminator spray every spring, that will take care of it for the warm weather months. If you have forced-air heat, they may be getting in thru those vents. Otherwise limiting the opening and closing of doors to the outside will help. The other night, l was going in and out and lots of bugs got in, gave my cat something to chase, lol.
Do you have a bug problem or just bugs getting in your house? You can't get all bugs out of your house though if you're just talking about in general you have to find where they're coming from and use poison to take them out.
I don't know if you have crawling bugs or flying bugs... if flying bugs the best way to keep them out is screens. Also use yellow light bulbs for the outside lights. For crawling bugs the best thing would be to spay around the foundation of your home... you can pick something up from Home Depot or Lowes...or have it professionally done by a pest service for about $35 a month.
