How did I become pregnant on birth control pill?

The pill is a low dose pill because everything else has made me so sick I can not eat and keep it down. I have tried the insert and patch but it all made me sick for some reason and so I took a low dose pill but I became pregnant but not sure how. I took it for more than 30 days. Any ideas out there? anyone else have this problem?

No form of birth control is 100% effective. So there is always a small chance that you can become pregnant anytime you have sex, even if you are using protection. If you really don't want to be pregnant, you either abstain, or use a back-up method as well.

yeah I know. I tried explaining to my husband that I was taking it but last he knew I wasn't on it. but I tried telling him that I was taking it but he wouldn't listen to me and he don't believe that I could get pregnant on birth control. How do I prove to him that I was taking it where he will believe me and I told him I showed the friend that is staying with us an empty case but he still don't believe me. he will think I threw them away but I didn't and I don't know what to do to get him to believe me because he said that I was lieing but I have an empty case to prove it but that don't prove anything according to him. he thinks that since I was on the pill I shouldn't become pregnant. what do I do about this?

There is no way to prove that you were taking it - either he believes you or he doesn't. However you can have your ob-gyn talk to him and explain that even the best forms of birth control do have a small percentage failure rate. Or show him the information on the manufacturer's website.

What sort of birth control were you using?

Simple. The only way to be 100% certain that you don't get pregnant is to not have sex. There is always at lease a small chance of pregnancy with all forms of birth control.

Nothing's 100% remember that. Anyone can become pregnant if they're on birth control. Plus it was low dose so there's a even higher chance.. Should have also had your partner wear a condom if you were really worried and have him pull out. But, I guess it was ment to be. Good luck on your pregnancy I hope everything goes smooth and the baby and you stay healthy :)

First by not reading the package insert for the medication. You had engaged in physical intercourse with a male. How do you think you got pregnant?
