how come a lot of people ask about stuff on here that they could've just as easily typed it into the search engine or dictionary?

Hi ItHurts.
I know ask isn't a social site. But really that's what a lot of people use it for. Myself included.
I would much rather ask questions on here, (usually opinion based ones) and get answers/comments from real people. As compared to googling answers, which are usually generic, boring, and have no people relation.
This is obviously just the reason I ask questions on here, not everyone will have the same answer.

Some people aren't good at doing searches, others just want a personal answer. And then there are those that like asking a community rather than doing a search, We love them all.. because after all if ppl did their own searches Ask wouldn't be here :)
