What does it mean if someone gets sad for no reason?

Today I was happy and even laughing, but then I got really sad... and I don't know why...... nothing bad happened it just doesn't make sense..........

Mortals are strange creatures. Sometimes there is no logical reason for the things that we do or the way that we feel. That's okay. As long as the sadness doesn't linger for too long or return too often I wouldn't worry about it. Your self awareness makes me think that you'll be just fine.
