What is the best remedy for my dogs hotspots?

He's a 8 1/2 year old Cairn Terrier with lots of food allergies.

The first thing you need to do is to clip the hair around the edges of the hot spot. Be gentle because the wound is very tender. The wound can dry out, when the hair is removed, which is good as the bacteria requires a warm, moist environment to develop. Put a soft soft blank under him and put ice cubes in his water make it cool in the house. Do u have any other pets if u do make sure they don't play that can make it worse. Ps take him to the vet:)
