Is it illegal to hack someone's Facebook/ personal internet account?

My step uncle hacked my Facebook account and read my messages. Now I'm grounded for some stuff they've found out about me... My uncle is 20, and I'm 13. So does the age matter?

I'm pretty sure it's illegal, but I just need to be positive before I try to get him into legal trouble. (Yes, it's that big of a deal. And no, it's not like they found out that I made an F on my test or something. They found out very personal stuff)

As far as I know it's illegal. But, it seems to be a family issue going on. Obviously it seems he was in w ur parents to find out info about what ur doing. My best advise would be not to post things that u shouldn't be doing since ur 13. Otherwise ur parents will never trust u and Facebook will be the least of ur troubles.

No, I'm not posting things, well I am, but they can already see them. He read my PERSONAL messages and found out I was/am smoking, and a 17 year old boy came over to my house while my mom was asleep... So.. Yeah.. How bout that.

I raised 2 kids and was a kid myself. Lol. I was doing things I really shouldn't have been but I turned out ok. I never snooped in my kids stuff. My son was easy to raise, my daughter not so much. But I gave them the tools to become good adults. Just take it as a sign of concern & love. He shouldn't have done that. But, as ur surrogate ask mom, just watch urself w guys. Make smart choices. U don't want to end up a statistic. I know there's a lot of pressure on teens. It's ok to say no when u need too. Ull b proud of urself someday when u leave all the losers behind. Good luck..;)

Dd your parents or uncle knew your password? And yes it is kinda illegal, if they didn't know your password. They can have a slight chance of a fee.
