3x2+(8+5)-6=12 1.you do (8+5) which is 13
2. then you do 3x2 which is 6
3. now your problem looks like this 6+13-6=12
4.so now you do 6+13 which is 19
5. your problem looks like this now 19-6=12
6. now you do 19-6 which is 13
7. and last but not least you do 13x12 which is 156

Wouldn't that mean that 156=12?

first of all you need to learn to ask the right question: How do I solve for X?
Cmon man

First of all he's using x as a multiplication sign, not a variable. It's 3 times 2, and not 3 (variable) 2 which would make it 3x squared anyway which would change the whole problem and it wouldn't = 12. Hear is the correct way to do this problem

3x2+(8+5)-6=12
1. (8+5)= 13
2. 3x2= 6
3. [6 + 13 - 6 = 12]
4. 6+13=19
5. [19 - 6 = 12]

3x2+(8+5)-6=12
3x2+13-6=12
6+13-6=12
19-6=12
It doesn't equal 12 at all.
