My email is notifying me that two people are spying on me. What does this mean, ans should I do something about it?

So my email is telling me that two people are spying on me. Some "Spy Guard" thing came up saying it could track the spies and tell me who they are. I didn't trust it and ignored it, but what can I do to stop these people from spying on me?
I fear that it could be these two people who trolled me online for five months. They then left me alone for a couple of days, but I know they may be up to something. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a scam to me ! It's a way of selling their product to you! Just ignore it! Put anything those people e-mail you in Spam, where it belongs. Your anti-virus will keep them from getting any info from you. You could also try Malwarebyte's-Anti-Malware free or Spy-Bot free too. They're both free and won't let anything through. It's SpyBot Search and destroy.

Thank you, I hope this works. The stupid Spy Guard thing still keeps popping up on my internet. How can people be spying on me? And is there a way of finding out who exactly is doing so?

No one is spying on you! Turn on your pop up blocker and ignore it. Almost impossible to spy on you. Go up to your upper right task bar and click on tools, then turn on your pop up blocker. Never open any spam, never. Scan your system with your anti-virus and if someone has put a tracking cookie on you, it will tell you and you can get rid of it!

Change your e-mail password too ! Much safer !

Okay, will do :)
Thanks! :D

I'm sorry, I don't know much about emails :P
What is the task bar, and how do I scan my computer for with anti-virus?
I am hopeless with computers ^_^

Okay, I found tools, but I don't see a pop up blocker there?

Wrong tools. The one on the right side! Find your anti-virus by clicking start and finding it there. Click on it and it will ask you if you want to scan! You can call your IP provider and ask them how to change your password. They do it all the time. What browser are you using?

I am currently using Google Chrome, if that's what you mean?
I have changed my email password, but not any other password.
I'll try the anti-virus now.

GoogleChrome is the best. I was on IE but I use google for this site and some others. Chrome has a pop up blocker too! You have to look for it, but it's there.

You can also find your anti-virus at the very bottom task bar.

I can't seem to find anything, and I am not sure why. Probably looking in all the wrong places. Like I said, I am hopeless! ^_^
I also tried improving my email security, but I apparently need some code.
I said I didn't have one and they said they were going to email me a code, but I never received an email. I don't understand computers :(

They'll send it ! My anti-virus is always on the very bottom of the screen in the lower right hand corner. Hope you have one. If you can't find it with the index after pushing start, then right click on the very bottom task bar and right click it, click properties then customise ! That will show you what's running. If there is no anti-virus there, then you may not have one. Look at your control panel for it too. You've got to have something! Otherwise, go to Microsofts home page and look for Microsoft security essentials and download it. It's a good anti-virus and it's free !

I will try all of this out later, but for now I should be heading to school.
I'll be sure to let you know how it all goes, and ask for help if I get stuck again!
Thanks heaps for all your help. I'll return soon and see if all of this works :)

Do let me know as I was just getting off. Find that anti-virus. One usually comes with a PC or Laptop. Good luck, I'm going swimming. By the way, I work computers part-time, so I know I can get you going. No one is spying, that's just a sell tactic.

Okay, I checked the right hand corner of my screen, and it has a PC status icon which says protected, and it says that my computer is protected from viruses and spyware. I looked until customise as well and the anti-virus (or PC protection) is running, so I am all good :)
Thank you again for all your help! :D
I still can't seem to manage my email security, but I at least changed my password, so I should be alright, I hope.

I was checking the security info on my email, and when it said I would be receiving a code it went to my friends email instead which is why I didn't have it. She sent it to me, and I tried the code, but it wasn't working for some reason :/

You'll be fine ! That's one thing I don't like about Google Chrome, lots of advertisements. I played with it some last night and cut down half. Not like Internet Explorer, where I can keep them all away. Changing your password is really the safest thing to do. Any mail you get that you don't know who it is, delete it. No matter what it says, you don't know them, delete them! Stay safe and have a good 4th!

Hahah xD There does seem to be a lot of advertisement on Chrome, and they do get rather annoying at times.
The Spy Guard one has finally decided to leave me alone ^_^
I have gone through changing some of my passwords on different sites, so I should be alright :)
Thank you so much for everything, and devoting some time to help out a friend! :D

It's a scam. Think about it, a random person emails you that you're being spied on. How would they know you're being spied on unless they're spying on you.
