What are problems that could happen after gallbladder removal? Diabetes?

I got my gallbladder taken out when i was 12 it was badly infected and i had to stay in the hospital for 8 days, it runs in my family my dad, sister and cousins all had it removed. Anyway i'm 20 now and i think i am experiencing symptoms of diabetes which my father also has i'm not over weigh though. any way i'm not sure but can getting your gallbladder removed put a person a higher risk for getting diabetes?
