give him pedialyte-the store brand is just as good as the name brand. give him light foods and don't "make" him eat. he will eat when he is hungry. there are pedialyte pops-like popsickles, jello, fruit juices. I would stay away from milk products until he is feeling better. watch for a fever and NEVER give aspirin to a young child.

Excellent!

Is it better for me to keep him in the room while he is sick so that he doesn't give it to anyone else. He's highly upset right now that he can't play with anyone else. :(

Yes, definitely keep him from others. You don't want anyone else catching it.
Report as
Take his mind off of it by playing a movie and maybe watching it with him.

keep him hydrated with pediacare. it has replacement enzymes and vitamins. These things just have to run their course

Probably clear liquids for 24 hours then see if he can tolerate something bland...rice, mashed potatoes, etc

Don't force food, use Gatorade, pedilite, Popsicles. Liquid Tylenol for the fever and a cold washcloth on the forehead.

Fruits/ veggies. Look up anti bacterial/ anti inflammatory foods. Hot soup could never hurt.
