Mesh implant. Do I have a case?

A few months ago my dad died after having a mesh implant for repairing a problem with his ostomy. He had a problem with his ostomy and had surgery to correct it. He was doing so well, but then there was a leak, so he had another surgery to fix the leak. This kept happening and so they tried a mesh implant. He ended up in ICU with major infections for quite awhile. He had to have another surgery and after that they told me he was not going to make it. After 5 very long days of suffering he died.
Do you think I might have a case?
If so how do I start? Who should I contact?

Contact a lawyer that specializes in medical malpractice or medical device problems, they have a lot of adds on TV. Most don't charge a consultation fee and there are lawyers that won't charge you unless they win your case( a word of caution though about this, ask if you will be charged for phone calls, copying paperwork and "other incidentals") and will tell you right away if they think you have a case.
Sorry for your loss and I wish you the best.

Usually the consent for surgery has arbitration agreement so get an attorney on contingency and see what happens
